About MBA Department:
The MBA Dept. was initially a standalone MBA institute which was operational since 2011. In 2020 the MBA institute merged with PVG’s engineering college and is now a department of PVG’s COET & GKPIOM.
The department offers a 2 year full time Master of Administration (MBA) Post Graduate Degree which is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Department Activities
Shivjayanti Celebration
The Shivjayanti Celebration was held on 18 February 2026 to honor the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and install values such as patriotism, courage, leadership, discipline, and ethical governance among students. The program was conducted with great enthusiasm through floral tributes, speeches, and cultural activities that highlighted his life, achievements, and ideals. Students and faculty actively participated, creating a respectful and inspiring atmosphere. The event successfully strengthened students’ sense of national pride, enhanced their leadership and moral values, increased cultural awareness, and motivated them to follow the ideals of Shivaji Maharaj in their personal and professional lives. Photographs were also taken to capture the memorable moments related to the event.

Marathi Bhasha Din
Marathi Bhasha Din was celebrated on 27th February 2026 by the MBA Department of PVG’s College of Engineering, Technology and Management, Pune. The program was organized with the objective of promoting and preserving the Marathi language and culture. Marathi is not just a language but the soul of our culture, and respecting it means respecting our identity. The day is observed on the birth anniversary of Kusumagraj, a renowned Marathi poet. During the event, students Omkar Mahajan, Dnyanesh Mhetre, and Omkar Singh actively participated and shared their thoughts on the Dnyaneshwari, explaining its message of devotion, knowledge, and righteous living. The program highlighted the importance of nurturing, preserving, and taking pride in the Marathi language. The event concluded with the message “Jai Marathi, Jai Maharashtra,” encouraging everyone to uphold and promote the richness of Marathi heritage.

Visit to Ab-Normal Home: Beyond the Classroom: Building Empathy through Community Engagement
MBA students visited to AB-Normal Home in Kothrud on 5th March ,2026. It is an organization dedicated to empowering children with special needs. Moving beyond the textbooks, our future leaders spent the day engaging in creative arts and witnessing the incredible resilience and talents of these students in fields like Mallakhamb and music etc. This visit wasn’t just about social work; it was about shifting the perspective from sympathy to genuine empathy and recognizing the diverse potential in every individual. A huge thank you to Ms. Kishoritai Pathak.

Budget Presentation for the FY 2026-27
The Department of MBA organized a comprehensive Budget Presentation for the Financial
Year 2026-27 on February 10, 2026. This student-led initiative was designed to bridge the gap
between classroom theory and the real-world economic landscape, focusing on the latest fiscal
policies and their strategic implications. The session successfully enhanced student
engagement in contemporary economic discussions, vital for the next generation of
management professionals.


Mastering AI for Sustainable Development
On February 17, 2026, the Department of MBA hosted a transformative session, “Mastering
AI for Sustainable Development,” featuring guest speaker Dr. Minakshi Atre. The workshop
empowered students to integrate AI tools like Julius AI and Notebook LM into the “Triple
Bottom Line” framework of People, Planet, and Profit. Dr. Atre underscored the shift toward
“Green AI,” positioning technology as a catalyst for ethical leadership rather than just
automation. The event successfully prepared future managers to leverage AI for strategic, datadriven
decision-making and sustainable corporate growth.


Blind Day
MBA Department has experienced Blind Day on 15th of October 2025. The event began with an introduction about the significance of Blind Day. The students learned the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and support for visually challenged individuals in society. It also encourages appreciation for one’s own abilities and promotes values of kindness, cooperation, and social responsibility.


Gandhi Jayanti on 3rd of October 2025 (Monday) with theme” “From Truth, Non-Violence to Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan”
A documentary cantered on Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and ideology was presented to all students. The film encouraged them to reflect on his values and think about how to implement them in their daily lives. This viewing was followed by an engaging interactive question-and-answer session, during which many students actively participated, sharing their thoughts and insights. The programme reinforced the significance of non-violence (ahimsa), truth (satya), and moral living — core values that Gandhi both taught and exemplified. It motivated students to take a more active part in cleanliness drives and community service activities, aligning with Gandhi’s focus on self-help, service, and societal upliftment. Students expressed a heightened sense of unity, peace, and national pride, inspired by Gandhi’s vision of an inclusive society, mutual respect, and collective well-being The session also ignited inspiration for simpler living and a stronger sense of social responsibility — prompting students to ask “What can I do?” instead of “What will others do for me?”

Industrial Visit
The Industrial Visit to Punjab was Organised for MBA students from 10th March 2026 to 19th March 2026. The main objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to various sectors such as media, industry, and agriculture, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications while enhancing students’ understanding of professional working environments. During the visit, students explored The Tribune in Chandigarh, where they observed the functioning of editorial, reporting, and printing departments and learned about ethical journalism and media responsibility. At Jaypee Group, Chandigarh, they gained insights into industrial operations, power sector activities, and the working of transformers used in electricity distribution. The visit to the Agro Research Centre in Kullu provided exposure to modern agricultural practices, including crop improvement, apple cultivation, and sustainable farming techniques. Overall, the visit resulted in significant learning outcomes as students gained practical exposure across multiple sectors, improved their understanding of real-world applications, enhanced their communication, teamwork, and observational skills, became more aware of diverse career opportunities, and were motivated towards professional growth and innovation.

On 1stDecember 2023, the MBA Department organized an industrial visit to Cotton King ,and Purple Textile Industries Ltd located at Baramati Textile Park, Baramati. The students also visited to the Sonai Dairy plant situated at Indapur. The visit was arranged to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations and help them connect classroom learning with real-world applications. During the visit, students observed the actual working environment, including workstations, machines, assembly lines, and production systems, and interacted with experienced industry professionals. They gained valuable insights into the functioning of textile machinery, the principles behind machine operations, the time involved in completing production processes, and the effective management practices followed by workers. This industrial visit significantly enhanced students’ understanding of theoretical concepts through practical application, exposed them to modern technology and industry best practices, improved their observation and analytical skills, and created opportunities for future professional networking and career development.


An industrial study tour to Wai and Mahabaleshwar was organised on 20th January 2023. During the visit, students explored Saneesa Chemicals and Mapro Foods to gain hands-on exposure to industrial operations and business practices. The tour offered valuable insights into manufacturing processes, product development, and real-world business challenges. At Saneesa Chemicals, students understood the production of automotive fluids and industrial lubricants. They also visited the newly started the turmeric plant of Saneesa Groups. The visit to Mapro Foods emphasized food processing, marketing strategies, and product innovation. The experience effectively bridged the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, enhancing students’ understanding of industry dynamics and entrepreneurial prospects.
