About MBA Department:
The MBA Dept. was initially a standalone MBA institute which was operational since 2011. In 2020 the MBA institute merged with PVG’s engineering college and is now a department of PVG’s COET & GKPIOM.
The department offers a 2 year full time Master of Administration (MBA) Post Graduate Degree which is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.
We offer the following as Major and Minor Specialization:

- Human Resources Management (HRM)
- Operations & Supply Chain Management (OSCM)
- Business Analytics (BA)

Vision of the Department:
Create world class manager who are role models for Professionalism, Ethical Business Practices and Patriotism. India being the country with the a very large number of young people, it is our prime duty to tutor, mentor, groom and train these youngsters to achieve their career goals and create a sustainable business environment for a joyful society. These managers will straddle every business sector and contribute to the economic growth of India and place it at par with super powers.

We train budding managers to take on the challenges of the business world with confidence and courage. India is on an economic growth trajectory and requires managers who exude dynamism and professionalism.
PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
- PEO 1: To make management graduates conceptualize, critically analyze and acquire In-depth knowledge of business and management by imbibing in them the unique ability of synthesizing knowledge towards adding value in the areas of business and management.
- PEO 2: To promote lateral thinking by way of enabling management graduates to see at the things from different perspectives there by making them to come out with simple solutions for complex managerial problems.
- PEO 3: To inculcate a spirit of enquiry, so that Management Graduates search for facts and truths by developing methodologies that supports critical analysis and decision making.
- PEO 4: To ignite the passion for Entrepreneurship in Management graduates by orienting them in the application of Modern tools of management and make them learn to select and apply in complex decision making processes.
- PEO 5: To inculcate a spirit of Ethics and Social Commitment in the personal and professional life of management graduates so that they add value to the society.

- To guide and channelize the transformation process of every management graduate by providing in-depth knowledge of business management and entrepreneurship embedded with ethics and a sense of social commitment and to make them to strive towards personal victory and value creation to society.
- To ignite a passion for multidisciplinary approach for problem solving, critical analysis and decision making by giving due importance for lateral thanking so that management graduates see things from a perspective which are not just simple but effective.

Activity Calendar AY 2022-23
Activity:Soft Skill
Soft Skill is one of the vibrant learning activities. In every week sessions of soft skills are conducted. These skills have the flavor of practical knowledge with interesting activities. The various activities are especially related to Emotional Intelligence and help to cope up with the various situations, Role plays. Activities based on Various skills like public speaking and leadership, Team building etc are conducted. These activities are conducted especially in batches to provide attention towards each and every student.
Activity: Skit Play
As a part of awareness amongst youth about the various myths and reality, skit plays are conducted. Various groups come up with different themes. The skit play is also one of the important platforms to come out of the fear of speaking in front of an entire audience. Such skit plays on mental health and drug addiction were arranged in our department.
Activity: Ganesh Festival

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the main and important festivals celebrated all over the country. Lord Ganesh is the God of Wisdom, Wealth and Fortune. This day witnesses a large number of devotees expressing their happiness and offering their prayers.
Every year, Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great enthusiasm in our department. All staff members and students of our department come together on this auspicious day to celebrate this festival.
Activity: Group Discussion
Group discussions activities
The main purpose of MBA is to polish their learned and in built skills. Group discussions play a significant role in shaping their expertise. It enhances their thinking capability, listening and speaking skills as well as confidence level. This is an effective instrument in problem solving, decision making and personality development. The various types of topics based on various current situations are given for group discussions to students.

Industrial Visit to Katraj Dairy - July 2022
An industrial Visit for students of MBA Department was organized at Katraj Dairy in July 2022. Students got exposure and practical know-how towards the actual working of the dairy.
Students were inquisitive and asked various questions in relation to their specializations. They interacted with HR, Marketing and Production Heads to get the feel of the entire functioning of the dairy.
