On 22nd July 2024, PVG’s College of Engineering & G K Pate Wani Institute of Management celebrated Guru Purnima with performances, speeches, and faculty appreciation. The event featured Saraswati Poojan, musical performances, committee reveals of ASM & MESA, with Mr. Atharva Tikore and Ms. Gargi Gadgil as the leads and talks by distinguished guests, including Mr. Prasad Hiralkar and Mr. Prateek Rohidas Dhatrak. It also marked the launch of the ASM-MESA student team. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Sanket Chikse.

On 10th August, the ASM Student’s Club hosted a 3D Printing Workshop at PVG College. Participants learned about 3D printing technology, materials, and slicing software, followed by hands-on experience in designing and printing models. Atharva Tikore & Shreeyash Joshi with other members took the lead and conducted the event. The event was successful in boosting technical skills and knowledge

On 4th February 2025, the ASM student chapter, coordinated by students, hosted a stall at the tech fair to promote materials science and recruit new members. The interactive quiz, featuring 12 questions on materials science, engaged participants, with chocolates awarded to top scorers. From students Amit Joshi, Rugved Dharmadhikari, Harsh Yadav Shreeyash Joshi & Atharva Tikore presented the ASM Team at stall. Successfully recruited four new members and fostered valuable discussions with visitors and faculties.

On 11th February 2025, ASM Students club members visited Kinetic Coating Technologies. Dr. Karandikar explained the importance of coatings in extending the life of hydropower turbines. Students observed the HVOF coating process, including grit blasting, coating, grinding, and lapping. The visit provided valuable hands-on experience, deepening understanding of surface engineering and industrial applications.
