Objectives of IIC cell:

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE) through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in education institutions.

Innovation Cell program. Launched under the aegis of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the IIC aims to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within higher educational institutions across the country.

Established IIC in 2019 to nurture creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial mindset among students, faculty, and staff, the IIC provides a platform for ideation, collaboration, and implementation of innovative projects. It serves as a catalyst for transforming academic institutions into innovation hubs where cutting-edge ideas are conceptualized, developed, and translated into tangible solutions for societal challenges.

PVGCOET & GKPIOM, Pune have taken initiatives, conducted workshops, seminars, and competitions, the IIC encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, industry linkages, and experiential learning opportunities for students. Pune Vidyarthi Griha College of  Engineering & Technology and GKPIOM, Pune has always taken efforts to establish and inculcate the culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship since 2001 amongst the students and staff of the college by encouraging staff to attend faculty development programs (FDPs) at EDI, Ahmedabad. This formation has helped to bridge the gap by establishing a connection between the real world entrepreneurs, innovators and the students of the college. It empowers aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to turn their ideas into successful ventures that contribute to economic growth and social welfare.

The objectives and goals of the Institution Innovation Cell (IIC) within an institute typically revolve around fostering a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving among students, faculty, and staff.
