Department Advisory Board Constituted

The Department of Computer Engineering has established the Department Advisory Board Comprising esteemed industry leaders, accomplished alumni, and faculty representatives.

The Department Advisory Board (DAB) for the Computer Engineering Department provides strategic guidance and industry insights to enhance academic and professional growth. It ensures alignment with technological advancements and fosters collaboration between academia and the IT industry. The advisory board plays a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction of our department and fostering collaboration between academia and industry.

Purpose, objectives, and Mission of the Department Advisory Board: –

The Department Advisory Board of Computer Engineering serves as a Bridge between academia and industry, providing strategic guidance and fostering collaboration to enhance the quality and relevance of our engineering programs.

The very purpose of the DAB is to leverage the expertise and insights of industry leaders, industry connections, alumni, and faculty to ensure that our curriculum and its relevance, student development efforts align with the evolving needs and challenges of the engineering profession.

The main objective of DAB is to advise on curriculum enhancements to meet industry standards in computing and emerging technologies. Strengthen industry-academia collaboration for research and development. Support faculty and student skill development in programming, AI, cybersecurity, and related domains. Identify research opportunities, funding sources, and technological innovations. Improve student employability and professional readiness in the IT sector.

The mission of the Department Advisory Board (DAB) is to enhance the quality of education, research, and industry engagement in the Computer Engineering Department. The DAB aims to ensure students are equipped with cutting-edge knowledge, practical skills, and career opportunities in the ever-evolving technological landscape.

A meeting of DAB is held at least once in a year, with additional sessions as needed for industry collaboration and academic advancements.
