The Art Circle proudly presented an original one-act play titled “Koyta” – a powerful and realistic portrayal of the lives of sugarcane harvesting workers from Beed. The play explored their struggles, relationships, and relentless fight for survival. Entirely written and directed by students, the production reflects a strong blend of creativity, social awareness, and authentic storytelling.

Firodia Karandak

The team performed a play named “The Echo of Silence”- which revolves around Alicia who is accused of killing her husband Gabriel, and Theo, a psychotherapist trying to make her speak and uncover the truth.  As Theo investigates, Alicia’s traumatic childhood and abusive, controlling relationship with Gabriel come to light.  A turning point reveals Gabriel chose to save himself instead of Alicia in a life-threatening situation, breaking her trust completely. This betrayal shatters Alicia’s perception of love, leading her to kill him. The play explores the dark side of love, trauma, and how human emotions can lead to destructive choices.

Cultural activities play a vital role in shaping students beyond academics. They foster creativity, teamwork, leadership, and holistic development. The one-act play Kajwa was proudly performed at two prestigious theatre festivals in 2023 — the Dajikaka Gadgil Karandak and the Bharat Karandak.

At Bharat Karandak 2023, Kajwa received significant recognition, winning multiple awards:

  •  Sharp and Impactful Acting (Male): Shubham Shinde
  • 2nd prize for Excellence in Music Arrangement
  •  Best Audience Response

A.Y. 2024-25

Bijaagari, a one-act play by PVG’s Art Circle, achieved notable success in Purushottam Karandak 2024, being selected among the Top 9 teams out of 51 for the final round. The play was also performed at prominent competitions including Dajikaka Gadgil Karandak, Yuvasena Balasaheb Thackeray Karandak, and Bharat Karandak in 2024. Additionally, Bijaagari was featured at a felicitation ceremony hosted by Bharat Natya Mandir, honoring the top 9 Purushottam finalists—celebrating the team’s creativity, dedication, and stagecraft.

 

The one-act play Bijaagari continued its remarkable run by receiving multiple accolades across various prestigious competitions in 2024. Demonstrating excellence in performance and direction, the play earned recognition at every stage:
