Electrical Engineering Students’ Association (EESA)
Electrical Engineering Students’ Association (EESA) was formed in the year 1993. EESA organizes many activities, such as, organizing guest lectures, industrial visits, co-curricular and extra –curricular events, etc. throughout the year. EESA publishes its annual souvenir “OHM’ every year. EESA maintains students’ library in the Electrical department, which consists of text books, reference books, proceedings of national and international conferences and journals. Some of the activities of EESA are highlighted as below:-
Following activities are conducted during Academic Year 2021-22:
EESA inaugural function took place in on line mode on 23rd September 2021. Our proud alumina Mr Mitesh Seth and Mr. Sameer Paranjape were invited as chief guest and guest of honor respectively for this EESA inaugural function. Prof. U. B. Sarode and Prof. Dr S T Gaikwad worked as faculty incharge for EESA for year 2021-22
A webinar on “Writing professional email” by Ms Dhivya Rajgopal was arranged on 16 November 2021 for SE, TE and BE students along with NDLI club of our college.
A webinar on “Profile Building and Career Opportunities” by Mr Satish Anand was arranged on 17 March 2022.
A guest lecture on “Power Quality” by Aniket Datar was arranged on 22 November 2022 for BE students in on line mode.
EESA organized guest lecture on topic “Energy Storage methods: Past, Present and Future” By Dr. P B Karandikar on 9th December 2021 for TE students in on line mode as their Audit Course.
EESA organized a guest lecture on topic “Project Management” By Mr. Sameer Kulkarni on 23rd and 24th April 2022 for TE students as their Audit Course.
EESA organized a guest lecture on topic “Solar PV Systems” By Dr. Adinath Funde on 23rd April and by Dr Avinash Rokade on 24th April 2022 for SE students as their Audit Course.
EESA organized “Versatalia – A National Level Project Competition” on 30th April 2022 in which students from more than 95 colleges in India had participated.
Felicitation of Our alumina Mr Ajinkya Naik, an industry Process Consultant at Dassault Systems and Mr Salim Huzefa, an industry Process Consultant Director at Dassault Systems was arranged on 6th May 2022. In this function the students who worked in V lab development, and eYantra were also felicited along with Dr Mrs. U S Thakar, Dr. S T Gaikawad who completed their PhD successfully last year.
A guest lecture on “Armature reaction & commutation in D C machines” by Dr. M P Bhawalkar was arranged on 1st June 2022 for SE students.
BE farewell function followed by dinner was arranged by EESA on 6th May 2022 at Basketball court of our college.

Cultural Program was arranged for students on the day of Inauguration
Wad viwad spardha’ was conducted through EESA in online mode for all students of institute on 22nd January 2021 on the occasion of Marathi bhasha Sanwardhan Pandharwada. Topic for the competition was ‘Pradeshik bhashetun vyawasayik shikshan – Yogya ki Ayogya’

Following activities are conducted during Academic Year 2019-20:
Various curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities are organized for students through Electrical Engineering Students’ Association (EESA). Prof. Mrs. U. S. Thakar and Prof. Mrs. K. M. Kurundkar, worked as EESA staff advisors for the year 2019-20.
Students of EESA committee members conducted activity Creating Awareness about Safety Precautions to avoid Electrical Hazards In Ganesh Mandals during 2nd to 12th September 2019. Students created awareness among Ganesh devotees regarding Electrical safety, Precautions to be followed during Ganesh festival and Electrical Hazard that may be caused by improper Electrical safety majors taken by the organizers.
Students of EESA committee members conducted activity of e-Waste collection during December 2019 and March 2020. E-waste is collected and submitted to Purnam Center at Karvenagar, Pune.
Students of EESA committee members conducted activity during safety week. They created awareness regarding electrical safety on 14th January 2020 in Muktangan school. They put posters in the campus of PVG’s COET, Pune.

Hrishikesh Mehta guided TE and BE students on ‘What is needed for Start-up in India and qualities required to be an Entrepruenur’ on 22nd July, 2020.
On 22nd July 2020, guest lecture by Alumini, Mr.Prasad Joshi on ‘Opportunities for Electrical Engineers’ was organized for TE and BE students.
On 20th January 2020, guest lecture by Alumini, Mr. Srinivas Patwardhan was organized ‘Enabling control of artificial limbs in amputees’ for BE students.
EESA in association with PES-IAS Chapter, IEEE,Pune organized Distinguish Lecture on 29th January 2020, on ‘Current interruption in Atmospheric Air ’ by Dr.David Peelo sinour consultant for BE students.37 students from other colleges also attended this guest lecture.
On 5th Feb, 2020, Guest lecture by Mr. Manoj Badve from TATA motors on ‘Energy Conservation in Industrial Environment’ was organized by for TE students for the subject of Energy Audit.

Following activities are conducted during Academic Year 2018-19:
Various curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities are organized for students through Electrical Engineering Students’ Association (EESA). Prof. O. S. Pawaskar and Prof. Mrs. U. S. Thakar, worked as EESA staff advisors for the year 2018-19. This year holds a special significance as it is the silver jubilee year (25 years of service) since the inception of our student body EESA.
“GURUPOORNIMA” function was organized by EESA on 19th September, 2018. Dr. Mrs. V. A. Joshi guided students.
EESA Inauguration function was organized on 2nd August, 2018 by the hands of chief guest of this function, Dr. Priyadarshini Karve, CEO, Samuchit Enviro Tech. The EESA committee was formally introduced during this event. This was followed by a cultural event where students of SE, TE and BE Electrical gave dance and singing performances.
During 8, 9, 10th September 2018, “Electrabuzz” the annual event of the Electrical Department was organized where various cultural, sports events were organized. ELECTRABUZZ ’18 was a grand success with 15 competitions constituting of 1200+ participants from various colleges. The annual fest events were organized for three days. Fortune Hunter; Basketball; Box cricket; Cric auction; Cricket; Debate; Fan quiz; Poster design; Technodumbs; Connect the dots; Football; PUBG; Mock Placement; Checkmate; Chitragraphy competitions were part of this event. The motto for ELECTRABUZZ ’18 was “from harmonics to harmony” which indeed resonates with the ultimate aim of moving from disorderliness to discipline.
Yogendra Talware from Strom Energie delivered a guest lecture on “Tariff-effective DSM tool for Energy Conservation” on 30th Jan 2019.This Lecture was attended by SE, TE, BE Electrical Engineering students along with the faculty members.
Narendra Duvedi from SAS Powertech delivered a guest lecture on “Power quality” on 25th Jan, 2019. Students from SE, T.E and B.E. Electrical Engineering attended this lecture along with the faculty members.
Ms. Manasi Patwardhan was invited to deliver a speech on "Research Quality and Ethics" on 16th October 2018.
Charuta Mulay was invited to deliver a speech on “Design of electrical machines” for subject Electrical Machines II and special purpose machines on 22nd September, 2018.
Pravin Buge from Unique Academy was invited to deliver a speech on “Preparations in UPSC exams” on
Mandar Waghmare,Aishwarya Gore,Mihir Paygude and Hrushikesh Sahane conducted the social Awarness workshop on” Cyber Security” in association with Rotary club at ES Divekar College,Varvand,Daund, Dist.Ahmednagar on 21st Dec,2018.
Mandar Waghmare, Hrushikesh Sahane, Aishwarya Gore and Mihir Paygude, Students of BE Electrical, conducted a workshop on Cyber Security “ANONYMOUS 2K18” organized by Electrical Engineering Students association on 29th Sept,2018.
Mandar Wagmare conducted a Workshop on “Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking” on 8th and 9th Sept, 2018 at PCCOE, Pune in association with Newton’s Apple, Pune.
On 22nd October, 2018, students from SE and TE Electrical Engineering (EESA) performed dance program for Sinour citizens at Shatayu Bhava and Celebrated KOJAGIRI Poornima with them.
Cloth donation drive activity was successfully completed in coordination with Approach Foundation from 1st to 3rd April 2019.
Three students from TE class participated in one day workshop for Youth on Carbon Neutral Campus organized by Yuva Drishti on 16/09/2018.
Every year, female topper from T.E. Electrical class, is awarded by Atlas Copco with a scholarship of Rs. 50,000/- towards “Female Engineer Scholarship Award - Kruttika”. This event is jointly organized by EESA on 14th March, 2019. This year 2018-19, Pranjal Wagh had received this prestigious award.
Department of Electrical Engineering organized one day workshop on “Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning” on 29th March 2019.Students from S.E,T.E and B.E Electrical Engineering with many faculty members attended this workshop .Dr. Mrs. Surekha Deshmukh and Dr. Rahee Walambe were invited resource persons for this workshop.

Traditional Day and Farewell Party for BE E & TC students was organized on 10th May 2022.
National level Circuit Design and Simulation Competition and Business Ideation Competition “Technovation 2K22” was organized for SE,TE and BE E and TC students and Business ideas Competition for all students of all branches on 6th and 7th May 2022. Mr. Bhavin Shah and Mr.Akhilesh Deo worked as Judges for the competition.
National Level IEEE Project Competition Versatalia was conducted in collaboration with Electrical and IT Department students association on 30th April 2022.
A badminton Competition for faculty of E & TC department was organized On 11th October 2021at Shakuntala Shinde Krida Sankul Bibwewadi Pune
On the day of 28 th August 2021, Saturday, a Group Discussion competition for the students was held on the platform of Google Meet. Also, the NDLI portal was open for the streaming of the competition and the event was published on the NDLI portal. The competition contained an environment of thoughtful words and generous ideas from the participants. The judges had a suggestive after-talk with every group. Considering literally, it had the effect of discussion process rather than any competition. The audience and faculty members enjoyed the honest discussion among the participants. The event was successful with the support of entire management of PVG, Shri S.P.Redekar Sir, Chairman PVG, Prof. R. G. Kaduskar Sir, Director, PVGs COET and GKPI(W)M, Pune, Dr. Manoj Tarambale, Principal, PVGs COET and GKPI(W)M, Dr. Y. B. Thakare, Head E &TC and Chairman TESA, Prof. Mrs. T. S.
