Guest Lectures Organized by department during Last 5 Years

Guest Lectures Organized during academic year 2025-26:

• On 15^th October 2025, a lecture on ‘Permanent Magnet Machines – Design and Applications’ by industry expert Dr. Priyanka Bastawde-Golatgaonkar, an alumnus and Lead Engineer (Electro-Mechanical Design) at Vestas, Germany, was organized for third-year Electrical Engineering students. The lecture was organized by Prof. Uday Sarode.
• An expert lecture on the topic “Design of DC-DC Converter, Inverter, AC Voltage Regulator & SMPS” was organized for TE Electrical Students on Saturday, 11^th October 2025 during 2:00 pm – 4.30 pm. The lecture was conducted by Shri Vivek Aranke. The lecture was organized under the subject Power Electronics of TE Electrical (2019 PAT). Total 62 students attended the Prof. Mrs P. R. Khatri coordinated the activity.
• An expert lecture on the topic “Applications of Microcontrollers in Power Electronics” was organized for TE Electrical Students on Saturday, 11^th October 2025 during 10.30 pm – 12.30 pm. The lecture was conducted by Mr. Vedant Wankhede, alumnus of 2018-19 batch. The lecture was organized under the Elective subject Advanced Microcontroller and Embedded Systems of TE Electrical (2019 PAT). Total 43 students attended the Prof. Mrs R. A. Ranjekar coordinated the activity.
• An expert lecture on the topic “Electrical and Hybrid Vehicles” was organized for BE Electrical Students on 9^th October 2025 during 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm. The lecture was conducted by Prof. Ravikant Nanwatkar. Total 58 students attended the Dr. S. T. Gaikwad coordinated the activity.
• On 7^th October 2025, an IEEE IAS Distinguished Lecturer Program on ‘Condition Monitoring of Electrical Assets in Smart Grid’ by Dr. Bala Krishnan Deputy Director, Singapore Institute of Technology,  Teaching and Learning Academy Singapore, was organized for TE Electrical Engineering students. The lecture was organized by Dr. Mandar Bhawalkar.

• Guest lecture for the subject Advanced Microcontroller and Embedded Systems is arranged for TE Electrical students of Mr. Hrishikesh Mehta on 22^nd October 2024.

• Department of Electrical Engineering, PVG’s COET & GKPIOM Pune has organized a Guest Lecture for SE Electrical students on “Establishing Career Objectives through Electrical Engineering” with the help of proud Alumni Narendra Gosawi, General Manager TNBi Automation Ltd. Pune on 28th February 2024.
• Department of Electrical Engineering, PVG’s COET & GKPIOM Pune has organized an expert session for SE Electrical students on “Need of Electronics as an Automation in Industry”  in association with  Sanjay Chaudhari of Electronics Study Center, Nasik  on 27th February 2024.

• A guest lecture on “Armature reaction & commutation in D C machines” by Dr. M P Bhawalkar was arranged on 1^st June 2022 for SE students.
• A guest lecture on “Power Quality” by Aniket Datar was arranged on 22 November 2022 for BE students in on line mode.
• Guest lecture on the topic ‘Energy Management’ by Mr. Ratanrajah Ramasamy, Managing Director at Phase-Technic System, was organized by EESA on 25th August, 2022. The main aim of the lecture was to make students aware of new and existing technologies related to Energy Management.
• A guest lecture on “Industrial Project Management” by Mr. Narendra Gosavi was arranged on 19^th March 2023 for Electrical students.
• A guest lecture on “Career Prospects in Army” by Colonel Vivek Nene was arranged on 24^th March 2023 for Electrical students.
• A guest lecture on “Numerical Methods & Computer Programming” by Chinmay Deshpande was arranged on 16^th May 2023 for SE students.
• A guest lecture on “Power Electronics” by A. D. Purandare was arranged on 18^th May 2023 for TE students.
• A guest lecture on “PID Controllers and Applications” by Umesh Shinde was arranged on 22^nd May 2023 for TE students.

• A guest lecture on “Power Quality” by Aniket Datar was arranged on 22 November 2022 for BE students in on line mode.
• EESA organized guest lecture on topic “Energy Storage methods: Past, Present and Future” By Dr. P B Karandikar on 9^th December 2021 for TE students in on line mode as their Audit Course.

• Guest lecture on ‘Global System for Mobile Communication’ by MRs. Trupti Kudale was arranged for SE Students on 17^th June 2021
• Guest lecture on ‘Tips for Women’s Health Improvement’ by Dr. Medha Sarsambhi was organised for all girls’ students on the occasion of Women’s Day on 8^th March 2021.
• On 10^th October 2020 lecture by Mrs. Manisha Mulay, Country Head HR (India), Vanderlande Industries, on ‘Resume Building’ was organized for SE and TE Electrical Students, under IQAC.
• On 12^th September 2020, a lecture on ‘Plagiarism: Ethics in Technical Writing’ by Dr. M. S. Thakare was organized for TE and BE Electrical Students.
• On 24^th August 2020, an online lecture on ‘Research through UG Projects’ was organized in association with IQAC.
• On 27^th July 2020 a webinar by Mr. Sonjib Banerjee, Manav Energy Pvt. Ltd. Kolkata, on ‘Designing of Lightning Protection Systems for Sky Scrapers’ was organized in association with Vidyut Suraksha Manch, Pune for TE Students and Faculty.

• On 5^th Feb, 2020, Guest lecture by Mr. Manoj Badve from TATA motors on ‘Energy Conservation in Industrial Environment’ was organized by for TE students for the subject of Energy Audit.
• On 20^th January 2020, guest lecture by Alumini, Mr. Srinivas Patwardhan was organized ‘Enabling control of artificial limbs in amputees’ for BE students.
• On 22^nd July 2019, guest lecture by Alumini, Mr.Prasad Joshi on ‘Opportunities for Electrical Engineers’ was organized for TE and BE students.
• Hrishikesh Mehta guided TE and BE students on ‘What is needed for Start-up in India and qualities required to be an Entrepruenur’ on 22^nd July, 2019.
• On 22^nd July, 2019, Guest lecture by Alumini Mr.Miresh Sheth ‘on Leadership skills required to be an Entrepreneur’ was organized for TE students and BE students.

• Yogendra Talware from Strom Energie delivered a guest lecture on “Tariff-effective DSM tool for Energy Conservation” on 30th Jan 2019.This Lecture was attended by SE,TE, BE Electrical Engineering students along with the faculty members.
• Narendra Duvedi from SAS Powertech delivered a guest lecture on “Power quality” on 25^th Jan,2019.Students from T.E Electrical Engineering attended this lecture along with the faculty members.
• Ms. Manasi Patwardhan was invited to deliver a speech on “Research Quality and Ethics” on 16^th October 2018,.
• Charuta Mulay was invited to deliver a speech on “Design of electrical machines” and “Electrical Machines II on 22^nd September, 2018.
